Raspberry Pi Django setup without loading the desktop

Since Django requires a lot of RAM and the Raspberry Pi might need all its memory capacity to provide some Django functionality, it’s advisable to use Django for Raspberry Pi user interfaces without loading the desktop. It also saves quite some disk space.



Fill the file with

with APPNAME being the name of your Django application. Save, then exit. Now, enter

At the end of the file, add

Save, exit and reboot the RPi. After booting, your Django application should be loaded into a Chromium window.
