LuaKit: a ultra-lightweight Browser with good video support

Epiphany, the browser which comes with Raspbian, works and has some good features like hardware-based video support. But, there are some alternatives like shown in the article on computers.tutsplus.com.
Out of them, LuaKit has some advantages:
It’s really fast, which is a primary concern for a Raspberry Pi and it supports HTML5-Videos out of the box. It has, however, a keyboard shortcut-based navigation system which needs some acclimatisation.

Install and start LuaKit

Type in the terminal

Keyboard Shortcuts

  • Press Shift+o to type in a new address for the current tab
  • Press r to reload
  • Ctrl+c stops loading
  • Ctrl+w closes the current tab
  • Shift+h goes backward in browser history, Shift+l forward
  • :bookmark bookmarks the current page
  • :bookmarks opens the bookmark page
