Maker’s Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse

Review
The latest book by Simon Monk will make the next Zombie Apocalypse a breeze!
After giving a brief overview on the science of Zombiism, the author presents a lot of cool projects in the areas of energy, home automation, communications and hacking electronics. The projects are intertwined: the second chapter shows how to generate and store energy (steampunk bicycle generator, yay!), followed by alarm systems, wireless door openers, surveillance systems and ingenious communication devices. Both the Raspberry Pi and the Arduino are covered.
The book is fun to read and lovely illustrated: all in all, the Maker’s Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse gives a great introduction into making and is one of the best books for encouraging young people to become makers.

Zombie Surveilance

In the Zombie Apocalypse, surveillance is existential!
