Sublime rulez: Basic Sublime Text 3 configuration

Sublime Text 3 is a great Text Editor which allows writing custom Python plugins. For example, it allows implementing a scp shove as plugin per hotkey.

To improve the usability of Sublime, here are some basic configurations:
Click PreferencesSettings - User and replace the content with

Click PreferencesKey Bindings - User and replace the content with

By this, these Hotkeys were defined:

  • Ctrl+r: opens the dialog for finding text in a directory
  • Ctrl+d: duplicate one or more lines
  • Ctrl+t: toggle commenting of the selected text
  • Ctrl+b: inserts a call of the ipdb debugger at the cursor position
